Former Las Vegas Player Queen Egbo Delivers Statement Night in WCBA

Queen Egbo just led her team to a stunning upset in the WCBA on January 20th.
Things were going well for the Blue Whales in this WCBA season. As they were managing a winning streak so far. But then they went up against the Shanxi Flame and came down with a 91-82 upset, thanks to Egbo.
The Shanxi Center has led her team to victory with 29 points and 3 rebounds. She also racked up 3 steals and 2 blocks while maintaining an 11/15 FG.
And this is upsetting for Sichuan on many levels. They now stand third in Group A with a 12-5. The defeat happened right on their home ground, despite having an excellent roster. Which includes WNBA veterans like Liz Cambage, Natasha Howard, and Khaalia Hillsman.
Cambage comes with 6 years of WNBA experience, where she averaged 15.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for the LA Sparks. Indiana Fever Forward Natasha Howard averaged 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
And compared to these big names, the former Las Vegas Center had a shorthand. She played only three seasons and managed 5.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in her last season.
However, she let her play do the talking, making it clear that she’s a glue player with strong defensive and rebounding qualities to lead her team.
And with this win, Shanxi is poised to be a major pressuer at WCBA.
What’s Next for Both Teams
The Whales’ recent loss really raises the brow at their roster. Their last game was against the Beijing Greatwalls, which ended in a 90-71 loss for Beijing. Their next match will be against Hebei.
And Shanxi moved onto the 2nd position in Group A, leading with a 14-4 streak. They'll go up against Beijing on the 23rd for their next match. However, the next threat can come from Guangdong Vermillion Birds with Kamilla Cardoso in the roster. Who has recently hit a career-high 1000 points in the WCBA.
Will Shanxi manage to tackle the Guangdong Birds? Let us know what you think in the comments!
