Flau’jae Johnson Honors Late Father’s Legacy in New Puma Collaboration

Flau’jae Johnson just unveiled a new collaboration with Puma. The design features a personal tribute to her late father, connecting her on-court success to her family's story.
The collection includes two designs: the Puma All-Pro Nitro 2 and the Puma Majesty Flau'jae. However, the spotlight remains its camouflage pattern, which Johnson added as a tribute to her late father to honor his legacy.
“Legacy is really important to me, and that’s something I put into these shoes,” she shared in a recent press conference. Johnson’s mother always told her that while she could “never be able to fill his shoes, you can take your own steps and build your own legacy.”
And that message stayed with her. It inspired the design and the meaning behind the sneakers.
That’s how she came up with the All-Pro Nitro Flau’jae PE built for performance on-court and the Majesty Flau’jae PE designed as an off-court lifestyle sneaker.
Both pairs are scheduled to release on Friday, March 13. The All-Pro Nitro Flau’jae PE will retail for $140 in adult sizes, while the Majesty Flau’jae PE will cost $90.
The collaboration arrives at an important moment for Johnson. She is nearing the end of her senior season at LSU and hopes to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
How is Flau’jae Johnson Preparing for March Madness?
For March Madness, Flau'jae has kept her vision clear. She follows a simple motto: “choose better.” It guides everything—from mental preparation to physical recovery.
This focus helps her perform well. Notably, she’s currently averaging 13.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. But her main focus remains on the team. As the LSU Tigers stumbled early in SEC play, Johnson wants the group to regroup.
She believes the team’s path to the Final Four depends on strong defense and dominating the boards. The Tigers had shown that resilience before.
After back-to-back losses to the Kentucky Wildcats and the Vanderbilt, LSU responded by winning 10 games, including several wins over ranked opponents.
LSU faces Oklahoma in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament. So, can the Tigers carry that momentum into March? Tell us what you think in the comments.
