5 Teams Against Which Caitlin Clark Has Displayed Highest Scoring Domination

Jan 18, 2026, 12:00 AM CUT

Caitlin Clark’s arrival in WNBA was anything but quiet. She rolled onto the scene as NCAA Division I men's and women's all-time scoring leader (3951 points). But that was just the beginning. She averaged 19.2 points in 40 games earning Rookie of the Year in 2024.

However, against select teams, Clark hasn’t merely scored, she has filled the stat sheet. Five teams clearly stand out as victims of her dominance, justifying her nicknames 'Ponytail Pete' and 'female Steph Curry'.

5. Washington Mystics

Clark scored at least 18 points in 3 out of the 4 games played with Mystics. Her highest scoring game was a road win on July 6 2024, where she posted 30 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals making 8 of 15 from the arc. Even on quiter nights with 8 points, her 8 assists and 5 rebounds all-around impact ensured the Mystics could never truly escape her.

Overall, Clark combined confidence with efficiency averaging 21.3 points, 8.3 assists and 7.5 rebounds in 4 games.

4. Phoenix Mercury

Clark emerged as the ultimate offensive engine in matchups with the Mercury. In just 114 minutes played across 3 regular season games in 2024, she averaged 21.3 points (64 total), 11.7 assists and 6.7 rebounds. She made atleast 20 points in the 2 home games with a 29 point explosive performance on August 16th.

The Indiana Fever won 98-89 to Mercury with 10 assists and 5 rebounds from the rookie.

3. Minnesota Lynx

Her third highest scoring average of 21.7 points comes against the Minnesota Lynx. Though Fever had a 1-2 WL record against the Lynx in 2024, it didn't stop Clark from being an efficient scorer. Even in the 2 losses, Clark’s shot-making stand out with 20+ points in both games, including a 25-point outing where she drained five three-pointers.

The Lynx may have limited her efficiency, but her overall production stood strong with 7.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 111 minutes.

2. Los Angeles Sparks

She holds the same 21.7 point average over Sparks in 2 homes wins. She put up a triple on September 4, with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in full minutes as Fever won 93-86. But the real eye catcher was a 30-point performance fueled by relentless trips to the free-throw line. She made 13 of 15 attempted free throws with a 43. 8 FG %.

The Los Angeles Sparks struggled to contain her combination of deep shooting and court vision, especially in high-minute games where she truly stepped up.

1. Dallas Wings

No opponent has felt Clark’s full scoring brilliance more than the Dallas Wings. She has averaged 25.3 points, 13.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 4 games versus the Wings, a line that reads more like a veteran's stat line than a rookie résumé.

Whether torching Dallas for 35 points at home or dishing out 19 assists on the road, Clark has turned every Wings matchup into a personal playground.

Though Caitlin Clark may not have had the chance to put up numbers remotely close to her rookie season for her second year in the W, she still averaged 16.5 points and 8.8 assists in 13 games.

But fans will get to see the #22 jersey back in action for 2026 as Clark is set to make her comeback. Additionally, she is also expected to be on Team USA’s roster for the LA28 Olympics and FIBA World Cup.
