‘Fastest Women in the World’: Sha’Carri Richardson Stuns Fans With Blazing Win in Australia

Sha’Carri Richardson took her sprinting gift to Australia, and the fans are delighted to see that nothing could hold her down.
The 2026 Stawell Gift posed no threat to Richardson on April 6, who joined the athletes in the small rural town to participate in the handicap race for the first time. And under 13.15 seconds, she held down Australia’s oldest and richest running race.
“WORLD RECORD”, the Green Machine took it to X. “Sha’Carri Richardson runs 13.07 (+1.5) over 120m to win the Stawell Gift. Just the 3rd woman in history to take it from scratch.”
The clip showcased Richardson starting last, since the race is determined by the athletes’ form and ability. The fastest racers tip off at the end, and the less advantaged ones start in the beginning. However, it didn’t take Richardson long.
Now, as the 3rd woman to have done this from scratch in the 144th edition of the race, Richardson is returning home with $40,000 prize money and the record, of course. In fact, her finish stands as the fastest time in the history of Stawell.
And we all know what could’ve come after a feat like this. The excited fans took it to X, discussing, praising, and hyping up the 26-year-old Olympian.
Fans Showered Sha'Carri Richardson With Praises
Starting at the end, defeating rivals who were at a 9-meter head start and still winning the race on the fastest time, Richardson was in a whole different league.
While the fans already knew what she was capable of, a new surge of appreciation followed.
“Fastest women in the world”, wrote a fan. Another added, “Brilliant in more ways than simply the obvious.”
“Her closing speed is insane, can’t teach that”, praised another fan. While another echoed, “And this is why she had to start in the back. Sheesh.”
Moving past the hypes, some fans particularly highlighted the parts Richardson improved in. Stawell was a “glorified practice” for her, the first race of 2026 to get in tune with her body. And the fans could barely wait for what’s coming next.
“We’re so back, Green Machine, get her on a track immediately”, wrote a fan. Another said, “Sha’Carri’s start getting better!!! You can see the improvement !!!” Singing the same tune, another added, “Her start has improved. I can’t wait to see the rest of her track season.”
Among these massive praises and predictions, one thing is clear. America’s Sprinting queen is back and is ready to kick off her season strongly. Would you agree? Comment it down.
