Kai Trump didn't shy away from supporting Aryna Sabalenka publicly over Coco Gauff in the women's singles finals at the Miami Open, but she also lauded Gauff following the finals.

On March 30, POTUS Donald Trump's granddaughter took to Instagram to celebrate both Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff for their exceptional performance in the final, while also acknowledging their contributions to further improve women's sports.

In the caption, she penned, "I had a great time at the Miami Open! Huge congrats to my friend @arynasabalenka for getting the win. I love what @arynasabalenka and @cocogauff are doing for women's sports!" she wrote.

Kai publicly expressed support for the Belarusian over the American before the final even started, which caused backlash among certain fans who felt the granddaughter of the US President should, in fact, be supporting her fellow compatriot, Gauff, over Sabalenka.

But the 18-year-old did not care enough, and also put a story with Sabalenka after her semifinal win, and captioned it, “So much fun watching @arynasabalenka… Let’s get it on Saturday.”

Well, Kai's wishes definitely came true, as the World No.1 completed the Sunshine Double after defeating Coco Gauff 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.

However, given that Kai is a University of Miami golf commit, many got to know about her interest in tennis for the first time. Several fans also voiced their thoughts after going through her Instagram post lauding Sabalenka and Gauff.

How did Fans React to Kai Trump's Latest Instagram Post?

Kai may have wanted to congratulate Sabalenka and Gauff for their contribution to women's sports, but most fans focused their comments on her, appreciating the POTUS' granddaughter in a variety of ways.

"I hope you had the best time!!" One fan wished. "Love the outfit and the vibes," another follower said in appreciation. A third one said, "Blessed Sunday and fruitful week ahead."

One fan stated that Kai's presence acted as a good luck charm for Sabalenka. The comment read, "You brought her luck."

All in all, it was a thoroughly eventful day for Kai, where her "friend" won the grand prize and her endearing words also earned her love from the masses.

Were you also supporting Sabalenka in the Miami Open finals, like Kai?
