In a world where Caitlin Clark's impact on the WNBA viewership is highly debated, Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green chose to focus on her actual skill level.

In his guest appearance on an April 29 episode of Aliyah Boston and Candace Parker's "Post Moves" podcast, Green compared CC's shooting prowess to the greatest three-point shooter we have ever seen in Steph Curry.

"There's always a lot of flak, or how much recognition, if you will, or credit, if you will, that Caitlin Clark deserves for the viewership of the WNBA. And how much isn't her, right?" Green said.

"And I'm not here to debate that, I don't really care. What I am gonna say is her shooting threes across half-court was one thing that [fans] could see and be like, 'Oh my God, that's like Steph! Oh, I can see that! Oh my god, wow, did y'all see that? Let more of us look now," Green added.

While Caitlin Clark might not have reached Curry’s level of three-point shooting yet, there is no doubt that she has been the most consistent women’s basketball player in attempting shots from beyond the arc.

She still holds the NCAA record for most three-pointers made with 548. Clark carried that momentum into the WNBA, as the 2024 Rookie of the Year once again broke the rookie record with 122 three-pointers.

Green believes that Clark's ability to provide highlight-worthy moments at any given point during the game attracts more traffic, leading more casual viewers to see what the buzz is all about.

"I think that had a big impact, because it was something that they can see, and [be like], 'Oh my god, wow.' Once they said, 'Wow.' You look, and you're like, 'Oh my god, the skill level of this league is in some ways higher than the NBA,'" Green said.

The fact that one of the major aspects of Caitlin Clark's game is already being compared to Steph Curry, of all players, highlights her rapid ascent in under two seasons.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Draymond Green has commended Caitlin Clark's abilities in the WNBA.

Draymond Green Cemented Caitlin Clark's Place at the Top of the WNBA

In an Instagram Threads comment section, the 2017 DPOY received a simple question.

"Champ, in your opinion, who’s the face of the WNBA?" He responded by saying, "Caitlin Clark. No question".

While players like A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, and Kelsey Mitchell would be in the running when asked who the best player in the WNBA is, this one's a different conversation.

For most people, when they think of the face of the WNBA, Caitlin Clark's name is the first thing that comes to mind.

Fans have raised expectations to an all-time high for the newly revamped Indiana Fever after free agency. Moreover, Caitlin Clark is fully healthy to start her third year in the WNBA.

Safe to say, all eyes will be on Caitlin Clark when she takes on Paige Bueckers and No.1 overall pick Azzi Fudd's Dallas Wings on the opening night of the WNBA on May 8.

So, who, according to you, is the face of the WNBA?
