Courtney Williams Reacts to Natisha Hiedeman’s Move to Seattle Storm

After building a strong bond as teammates on the Minnesota Lynx during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Courtney Williams has now opened up about her feelings as the “StudBudz” go their separate ways in the 2026 season.
During a recent Minnesota Lynx press conference, Courtney Williams, who is returning on a two-year max deal, got emotional while talking about Natisha Hiedeman signing a two-year deal with the Seattle Storm this month.
In a post shared by Andrew Dukowitz on X, “I ain’t gonna lie, I was so sick but I feel like as I was trying to tell her, “you deserve this, go be great” I’m talking to myself to like, she goin be alright," she said about her partner.
With whom she streamed for 72 consecutive hours in Indianapolis on their Twitch channel.
"It’s like seeing your baby fly away, I’m serious, man, it was a hard pill for me to swallow,” the 31-year-old said with a smile while reacting to Hiedeman’s move.
On the court, the two played a key role in the Minnesota Lynx’s 2025 success with their scoring and energy, often sporting matching pink hair, helping the team secure a top record, while Courtney Williams averaged 13.6 points and 6.2 assists that season.
Their bond was just as strong off the court, especially when they streamed on Twitch and played off each other.
Hosted teammates and league players, and shared time with stars like Napheesa Collier, Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Tyrese Haliburton, and commissioner Cathy Engelbert.
Now that their time together is over, Hiedeman is moving on to a new team and a new role.
Seattle Storm Gets Natisha Hiedeman, Minnesota Lynx Keeps Courtney Williams
It is believed Natisha Hiedeman will do well with the Seattle Storm after spending the last two seasons with the Minnesota Lynx, where she helped the team reach the 2025 WNBA Semifinals and the 2024 WNBA Finals.
If you missed it, in 2025, Natisha Hiedeman played every game, shot a career-best 49.2% from the field, averaged 9.1 points, and passed 1,500 career points, later winning the Sylvia Fowles Altruism Award.
Making her a strong fit for the Seattle Storm as they rebuild their core after the departures of Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins-Smith.
Meanwhile, Courtney Williams may miss her best friend on the court, but she also seemed ecstatic after seeing the numbers from the new CBA last month.
“We finna be millionaires, bruh. The first millionaires in our families,” she said on stream.
And with her new two-year max deal worth $2.4 million, as reported by Alexa Philippou, Williams has even more reason to keep pushing forward.
