Chloe Kim Opens Up About Emotional Moment With Myles Garrett Before the Olympics

A sweet gesture from boyfriend Myles Garrett had left Chloe Kim in tears before her Olympic run in Milan. During a Sports Illustrated interview on February 19, Kim revealed that Garrett wrote her a poem before the Olympics.
Garrett’s verse read, “You enrapture fools to kings and exist without a peer. Put on this earth for many things, but our love is why you’re here”.
And that was an unexpected layer to Garrett’s usual Sunday personality. The 30-year-old asked Kim if she still had the poem he’d written for her while she was sitting with the team. After a joke about tracking it down, a grinning Kim handed him the piece.
The 3-time Olympian admitted to crying, to which Garrett said, “You cry easily.” Now this isn't the first time the two have been under the spotlight. After they publicly acknowledged their relationship earlier in November 2025 at a Cleveland Browns game, the two have constantly posted and talked about each other.
When Kim won the silver medal after losing her footing against South Korea's Gaon Choi in the final, Garrett was present on the sidelines, wearing a custom jacket meant as a show of support for Kim.
And after coming back to the US, Kim was present when Garrett was working with Sports Illustrated for a cover shoot. Right after it came out, she posted, "Proud proud proud of you!"
Now back home from the Winter Olympics, what comes next for the Olympian?
Chloe Kim Reveals an Injury Update
Even while battling through an injury, Kim won the silver medal, making her one of the few athletes in three straight Winter Games. After the loss, she returned to the United States, having put off surgery for an injury she sustained in the training camp.
Kim had a torn labrum in her left shoulder. That's why it was her biggest priority after her return. In an Instagram post, she detailed:
"I haven’t worked out in a bit, but I really want to get my shoulder strong before I get surgery to make the rehab a bit easier."
Fans hope for a speedy recovery from the surgery!
