Candace Parker Has a Message After Stephen Curry Wears Her Shoes

Other than being one of the best three-point shooters in NBA history, Stephen Curry is all for WNBA upliftment. And this time Candace Parker is praising for a gesture that was more than just a fashion statement for her.

So, Candace Parker and Aliyah Boston hopped onto their Post Moves podcast on January 14th, and Boston pulled up a Twitter post of Curry wearing Parker’s Adidas Crazylight 2011 PE in his 2025 NBA All-Star Game.

The next question was, “Do you know what shoes he was wearing?” and Candace Parker did know.

“I got on Instagram and I saw I was hyped,” Parker said. “I mean, he blew the dust off. That was like 2011, that was some years ago,”. she added. The former power forward recognized the shoes to be her Chicago Sky exhibit A model.

“Steph is taking the world by storm just in terms of what he’s doing and continuing to elevate others”, Parker stated. Because this isn’t the first time that the Golden State Warriors’ 30 represented his WNBA peers.

A’ja Wilson’s Nike A’One Sunshine looked awesome on Curry. So did Sabrina Ionescu’s Sabrina 3 and Angel Reese’s Reebok Receipts Ready. Parker’s Crazylight is now on that line.

And the fact that Curry went with something old school and not the current, seemed to click just right with Parker. “I can’t lie, it’s really cool to see not the current shoes you’d expect but to pull out an old school, you know Ace, it was cool”, she said.

Stephen “WNBA-fan” Curry

Curry has never really backed away from showing his genuine involvement with WNBA stars. And that’s not limited to wearing shoes.

The 11-time All-star showed his involvement with the WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries in 2025. "I'm gonna be a fan. I'm gonna be at as many games as possible... excited to watch them play and wish them nothing but success”, he said.

And that aligns perfectly with what Parker had to say about him. “I think that’s what we love so much about Steph is he’s so great but he continues to kinda showcase others,” she said. “And that’s what makes him so special," she added.
