Cameron Brink Recalls Fiancé’s ‘Creepy’ Icebreaker

Even for the biggest of players, some shots play out off the court, away from the hardwood. And Cameron Brink can confirm the effect.
The Los Angeles Spark star’s dating life is known to many. Brink recently added another piece of information to the public list about her relationship. She revealed how her fiancé, Ben Felter, won her over. Given Brink’s stardom, Felter didn't feel comfortable sliding into her DMs. But he found a better method.
As per ESPNW, Felter took it to Email for “attempting to mingle”. Writing, “Hey Cameron, Wanted to chat you up, but I think DMs are a bit creepy. Not that an email is much better so here's my number,” and included the digits at the end.
Felter’s wish to “chat” Brink up may have started early, when these two attended Stanford. Brink was the star who helped lead the Cardinal to two national title games in 4 seasons, while Felter was a rower. He did not pursue Brink directly, but it’s safe to say that his email shot landed.
The couple started dating in 2021. And in September 2024, Felter proposed to her at the rooftop of the Shangri-La Paris. Which was right after Brink walked in a Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week. And moving forward to 2026, these two are reportedly eyeing a marriage knot.
However, through dating or engagement, Felter has always shown constant support to Brink. Something she had admitted several times.
Ben Felter Has Always Supported Cameron Brink
Brink’s career had been injury-ridden. From a season-ending ACL tear in 2024 to a nose injury in 2025, Felter’s support has never wavered. He kept up with the WNBA star’s demanding lifestyle, urging her to continue her career. Leading Brink to see him as “best friend” and “favourite person”.
“We've definitely been through some crazy stuff together”, Brink said in an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine in 2025. “He's like, 'I want you to play basketball as long as you possibly can’”.
"Ben is probably one of the most tolerant, patient people I've ever met. I have to give Ben credit because he's accommodating a lot for my career and my lifestyle right now”, she added further.
And as per Marca, these two are scheduled to tie the knot on November 14, 2026, in Palo Alto. Brink has already replied to Ben’s proposal with a “yes in every lifetime” through her Instagram post.
Do you think she should also shoot the “I do” over email just as a hilarious formality?
