Colson said "Believe you belong wherever you are", at the launch of the Fever Confidence leadership program in Indianapolis. The initiative is a joint venture between Pacers Sports & Entertainment, the Indiana Fever, and the Marion County Commission on Youth.
It aims to empower local high school seniors through mentorship, confidence-building, and community connection.
Colson addressed and interacted with 20 high school seniors in Gainbridge Fieldhouse who will begin a yearlong journey focused on personal growth.

Sydney Colson’s influence has evolved
Colson, who entered the WNBA in 2011. Her transfer to Fever, whilst Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston headlined the young roster, felt like a gamble.
Although not well known for posting big numbers, Colson has always gone beyond stats. The 2-time WNBA champion is one of the most beloved on court, for her humor, authenticity, and ability to connect.
She even performed a stand-up comedy set during All-Star Weekend. She even went live on Instagram post her ACL surgery!
Her first season with the Fever was cut short to 30 games, where she averaged 2.4 points and 2.0 assists per game. Beyond the WNBA, Colson hosts a podcast called Unsupervised with Syd & TP with her longtime friend, Theresa Plaisance.
As the CBA looms, Caitlin Clark has her rookie contract for next season, but teammate Sydney Colson heads to free agency for 2026.
