Caitlin Clark Silently Acknowledges Iowa’s Year-Long Celebration

The Iowa Hawkeyes have not forgotten Caitlin Clark and her record-setting tenure with the team. And on this February 2, 2026, they celebrated the first anniversary of the day they honored the Indiana Fever star.

The Iowa Hawkeyes’ official Instagram handle posted a throwback moment about their former star. Clark quickly acknowledged it, sharing the post on her Instagram story, confirming her ties to the program remain strong.

“One year ago today. From the logo. To the rafters", featuring Clark's photos from February 2, 2025. It was from the ceremony when Clark returned to the Carver-Hawkeye arena to see her No. 22 jersey going up to the rafters.

The Hawkeyes retired Clark’s jersey after JuJu Watkins led them to a 76-67 victory against USC. A sold-out arena hosted Lisa Bluder, Clark's former coach at Iowa, and Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White. Cailtin Clark didn't hide her feelings either.

“Wearing Iowa across my chest the last four years has been an honor... This place will always be home,” she wrote on X after the ceremony.

Clark became the NCAA’s all-time scoring leader for both men's and women's divisions during her tenure at Iowa. She led the Hawkeyes to three consecutive Big Ten Tournament titles. So, it’s only natural for the team to cherish a generational talent like Clark. And Clark’s story just confirmed that Iowa and Caitlin Clark are inseparable.

However, the Hawkeyes' tribute wasn't the only one that helped Clark start February off on a high note.

Caitlin Clark made her NBC Debut

Clark was a special contributor on NBC’s Basketball Night in America’s pregame show on February 1, 2026. She joined host Maria Taylor and legends like Carmelo Anthony, Reggie Miller, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady for pre-game analysis.

Besides discussing the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks, Caitlin Clark also discussed the WNBA and expressed her admiration for Luka Dončić.

Meanwhile, Miller ranked Clark as the no. 1 shooter in Indiana, and that's not all. The Fever Guard will return to NBC on March 29, 2026, for another pregame appearance.

So, while the groin injury kept her away from the court for most of the 2025 season, Clark has found her way into the spotlight off-court consistently.

Whether it's Iowa Women's Basketball celebrating their alumni, participating in the 2025 Anika, or making her NBC debut as a guest analyst, Catilin Clark has been busy while rehabbing her injury.

As the Fever prepares for their 2026 WNBA season opener against the Dallas Wings on May 9, the potential looks limitless.
