Caitlin Clark shares light moment with reporters during Fever media day

As training camp continues in full force for the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark provided the fans with a rare light-hearted moment in front of the media.
The camera is always panned towards the players during media day. But the Indiana Fever guard closed her press conference with a special request.
Clark asked the more than 30 reporters who had come to her press conference to ask her questions before the start of the WNBA season to do her a favor. "Can you all go stand over there?" "Okay, I'm going to get you on my film camera," the Fever guard said.
Clark remarked with the reporters, "You guys always take photos of me, so go over there, act like you like each other, and you’re going to smile for me, okay?”
What followed was a wholesome moment as the Indiana Fever guard didn’t just click images of every media personnel present, but also gave them a unique memory to attach to their everyday routine.
Clark is a bit of a hobbyist photographer, though. She has worked as a professional photographer at NBA games, just like other current and former athletes who have taken up the art form.
Currently, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have been turning on the heat during training camp, with the Fever social media handles updating fans with events and summaries of each day.
And while the Fever have most of their roster returning this season, the camp helps new stars like Monique Billings, Tyasha Harris, and Myisha Hines-Allen learn the Fever system under head coach Stephanie White.
The Fever fans are highly anticipating Caitlin Clark’s return after the guard missed the majority of last season because of several injuries.
The 24-year-old’s MVP-winning performance for the USWNT at the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in Puerto Rico has only increased the hype around her return to the WNBA floors.
But the real question is whether her body can handle the rigors of a full WNBA season.
Is Caitlin Clark Ready for the Preseason?
The Fever guard made several crucial decisions in her recovery process, primarily choosing not to take the floor during the offseason at all and directly targeting the new season.
"Taking care of my body at this point in the season is probably the most important thing," Clark said when speaking with reporters. "Whether that's recovery, whether that's pre-court treatment, whatever it is. I think it's those types of things."
Caitlin Clark only played in 13 games during the 2025 WNBA season because of a number of injuries, such as a bone bruise and a right groin injury. She scored an average of 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds in those 13 games.
The Indiana Fever will start their 2026 regular season at home against the Dallas Wings on Saturday, May 9, at 1:00 PM ET.
