Caitlin Clark shares a message celebrating Aliyah Boston

Following Aliyah Boston’s historic contract with the Indiana Fever, another cornerstone of the franchise showered praise on her. It’s the 3-point machine, Caitlin Clark.
The Fever guard gave Boston her praise after she became the first player in WNBA history to sign under the league's EPIC provision. A provision that now enables the players in the final year of their rookie contract to bargain for a max contract, provided they meet certain criteria.
“I knew it was in the works, but I mean, I saw it on social media. I'm just super happy for her, the largest salary in WNBA history over the course of the deal. So nobody is more deserving. Really happy for her,” said Caitlin Clark.
“She's not only a great basketball player but one of my good friends, so really happy to celebrate her.” Clark continued.
Aliyah Boston became eligible for the historic deal after earning All-WNBA Second Team Honors in the 2025 regular season. It allowed her to negotiate the final year of her rookie contract under the EPIC provision.
The move saw her sign a four-year $6.3 million extension through 2029, surpassing A’ja Wilson’s 3-year $5 million contract.
Further praising her teammate, Clark added, “Happy that she gets to spend more time here because these fans really love her. This organization really loves her, and I've loved getting to play with her every single second.”
In her three years in the WNBA, Boston, the first overall pick in the 2023 draft, has never missed a game and has been an All-Star every year.
The South Carolina alum averaged a career-high 15.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game last season.
Recognizing Boston's value, The Fever clearly loves their core because they brought back Kelsey Mitchell on a one-year supermax deal, re-signed Lexie Hull, and brought back sharpshooter Sophie Cunningham.
What makes these roster changes even more exciting is how well the players are already working together on the court.
Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston’s Early Chemistry Promises a Bright Future
The partnership between Clark and Boston has already shown promise in Indy. In fact, they went on to become the top assist combos in the 2024 season.
With young stars leading the franchise, the Fever appear positioned for a formidable core in the coming years.
The duo’s on-court chemistry has already been evident, with Caitlin Clark assisting 73 times to Aliyah Boston in 2024, marking the most frequent connection in the Fever’s lineup.
At the same time, Boston’s production also reflected Clark’s presence. During the 2025 season, in a small sample size across 15 games, in which Clark missed the last 6 games with a left groin injury, an interesting stat was reflected.
The center, who averaged 18.6 ppg in the initial 9 games, averaged only 11.2 ppg in the remaining games without Clark.
With both stars consistently improving, the Indiana Fever appear positioned toward sustained success and may also take a peek at their first championship since 2012.
