Caitlin Clark Reveals True Feelings on Team USA Stint

The Indiana Fever star is officially selected for Team USA’s senior national team, and she’s shared her feelings on what it really means.
In her first official interview as a senior national team player, Clark shared how long and sometimes tough the road has been.
“When you’re at the U16 team, I remember they always talk about the senior national team,” Clark said. “And obviously that’s every young girl’s dream when you’re on those teams.”
“I’ve been on teams, and then I’ve even had moments where I’ve been cut, and I haven’t been on teams,” she said. “So you experience all of it.”
Those ups and downs didn’t discourage her. Instead, they showed Clark what makes Team USA so special.
“I think that also speaks to how great USA Basketball is and how dominant they are,” she added.
Now, as she steps into the senior national team training camp, Clark finds herself surrounded by the very players she once watched from afar. It’s a full-circle moment for someone who grew up dreaming about playing for the senior national team
Bouncing Back After a Tough Season
This camp also marks a big comeback for Clark after a season derailed by injuries.
The last game she played was on July 15, 2025, against the Connecticut Sun, where the Indiana Fever won 85-77. She played in just 13 games after battling issues with her quad, groin, and ankle.
“It feels nice to finally be back at 100%,” she said. After months of rehab and setbacks, being at USA Basketball camp in North Carolina is a great fresh start and a chance for her to show she’s ready for what’s next.
