With the NFL season heading to the Super Bowl, fans are already picking sides, and so is Caitlin Clark.

Clark recently made an appearance on Jason and Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, where the trio struck up a conversation about Super Bowl favorites.

Although Caitlin Clark is a Kansas City Chiefs fan, the team is out of contention this year. Given that Travis Kelce asked her if she could root for any team left on the playoff field.

“I may not be cheering for anybody,” Clark said. But what she added later revealed her favorite “but honestly, I am a Drake Maye fan. I think he's been incredible.”

Not only did the Patriots QB earn Clark's support, but she's also rooting for the team. "I will probably be pulling for the Patriots,” she said.

Fans quickly patched up Clark's inclination to Maye as a 'game recognizes game' moment. And the Indiana Fever star certainly knows what she's talking about.

Caitlin Clark and Drake Maye both started their pro career in 2024. Caitlin Clark brought the CC effect to the W and Maye’s 66.6% completion rate, 2,276 passing yards, and 15 touchdowns in 2024 mirrored the same in the NFL.

Additionally, Clark is an avid football fan and has also been spotted attending games with Travis Kelce's partner, Taylor Swift.

Clark also has props for another team and its player. "But the Rams are really good too. Sam Darnold seems like a good guy… I could root for him.”

While Caitlin Clark made her favorites clear, she also made her hate clear

When Jason Kelce teased Clark by stating that she was a Bills fan, she immediately shot it down, saying, "I hate the Bills.... Ugh". She made it clear there are some teams she just can’t root for.

As an Iowa native, Clark lived at a 2 and a half hour drive from the Kansas City Chiefs' home stadium, so her loyalty to the team and dislike for the Buffalo Bills make sense.

23-year-old Drake Maye also happens to be the Bills' most hated rival and is considered better than Bills QB Josh Allen.

Lastly, like a true athlete, she pointed out the disadvantages, "The NFC looks like they’re all so good. The 49ers are really good. But they’re, I mean, they’re the most injured team, but they find a way to win, which is pretty crazy.”

Caitlin Clark is rooting for the New England Patriots, who have a 13-3 record, leading the AFC division. Do you think her pick could be a real Super Bowl threat?
