Growing up in West Des Moines, about three hours from Kansas City, Caitlin Clark has been a longtime loyal fan to Chiefs. But that loyalty could face an interesting twist.

The Chicago Bears might relocate to Iowa. Even CC was just as surprised as everyone else when the news surfaced. She reposted it on her Instagram Story with the caption, “This is not something I’d thought I’d see.”

And her reaction makes sense. On Monday, Iowa Senators Kerry Gruenhagen and Scott Webster, who represent the Quad Cities area, introduced a bill that included a proposal to add NFL stadiums to Iowa’s Major Economic Growth Attraction (MEGA) program. It also offered tax refunds and credits to projects that invest at least $1 billion into the state.

But why the Chicago Bears? Well, they're looking for a new stadium in the Chicagoland area. However, that may not be as strong of a reason they will move. Firstly, The Rock Island (Ill.) Independents, one of the region's oldest NFL teams, have been the Bears' old rivals as well.

Moreover, the team moving a few hours west of Chicago doesn't seem like a realistic idea. But if Iowa gets an NFL team, would Clark support them?

Who Would Caitlin Clark Root For?

The Indiana Fever superstar has been spotted at multiple Chiefs games. She attended the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Detroit Lions game, sitting in a suite alongside Taylor Swift on October 12, 2025.

She was also spotted at the Chiefs’ playoff matchup against the Houston Texans, again seated in a private suite with Swift on January 18, 2025.

But Chiefs aren’t the only teams she’s been supporting, though. She even attended an Indianapolis Colts game. On October 5, 2025, Clark joined her Indiana Fever teammates at a Colts matchup. Although she was gifted a Colts jersey, she chose not to wear it, subtly signaling that her loyalty still lies with Kansas City.

So even if the Chicago Bears were to relocate to Iowa, it seems likely Clark would remain a Chiefs fan.
