Caitlin Clark Playfully Roasts Reggie Miller’s Indiana Shooter Ranking

Caitlin Clark may have a lot under her belt already, but that didn’t stop her from roasting the former NBA star, Reggie Miller, with a touch of humility.
The Indiana Fever star made her broadcasting debut on February 1 on NBC's Sunday Night Basketball pregame show before the New York Knicks vs. Los Angeles Lakers match. While sharing the stage, Miller crowned Clark as the best shooter to ever represent Indiana on the court, followed by Tyrese Haliburton and himself.
But despite being in the league of the most prolific shooters in the WNBA, Clark refuted Miller's title, saying, "That's not true(x2)," while shaking her head in denial. The Fever sensation also roasted Miller, saying, "We'll have to take Tyrese's opinion on that. I'm not sure he'll agree."
Clark had to miss a lot of games last season due to injury. But despite that, she averaged 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. The two-time All-Star is the first player in the W league to record 300 points, 100 rebounds, and 100 assists in one season.
However, despite the achievements, the Fever Guard had solid reason to turn down the torch Miller handed her.
Caitlin Clark is far from Reggie Miller’s Feats in the NBA
While Clark is a rising star, she understands the contributions Miller made that earned him induction into the NBA Hall of Fame. But roasting and jokes are her way of showing appreciation.
Miller, a former Indiana Pacers star and Olympic Gold medallist, was a five-time NBA All-Star and three-time All-NBA selection. Miller dominated the paint from beyond the 3-point line, setting an earlier record for most career 3-pointers made. This was later broken in 2011 by Ray Allen.
So, when someone like Miller takes notice, that means something. But when someone like Clark turns it down, it means she wants to level up further before claiming it.
In this WNBA season, the Fevers will be hosting the Dallas Wings for the opening match. What will the showdown look like on May 9? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
