Apr 23, 2026, 7:04 PM CUT

Caitlin Clark is skipping the trend of playing in offseason leagues like Unrivaled or heading overseas. The Fever star explained her choice to stay in Indianapolis during a recent media day session.

During her media day duties, Caitlin Clark answered numerous questions. But when asked about her decision to stay put during the offseason, the 24-year-old had a straightforward response ready.

Clark said, “I love it here in Indianapolis.” The Indiana Fever guard added that she had everything she needed right here in Indiana, and also credited her Midwestern roots for the decision.

Clark's success in Indiana is what makes her so loyal. Her arrival in 2024 changed the Fever and ended their seven-year playoff drought.

She won Rookie of the Year with an average of 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds. Indianapolis was her true home because the franchise welcomed her and she made history there.

In the end, Clark has made the Fever real title contenders. Her amazing shooting and playmaking made her a cultural icon around the world.

Even though she was hurt in 2025, she is still the most exciting player in the league.

Caitlin Clark only played in 13 games during the 2025 WNBA season because she hurt her right groin and had a bone bruise. In those 13 games, she scored an average of 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds.

Now back to full fitness, Clark showed glimpses of what to expect this season while playing the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in Puerto Rico during March.

And as the 24-year-old took to the training camp, she looked her usual self, serving dimes and shooting threes like it’s routine work.

Caitlin wasn’t alone at the media day and had a camera with her, which she put to good use.

Caitlin Clark reverses the roles with a rare media day request

As media duties concluded and reporters got ready to say their goodbyes to Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever guard requested them to pose for a photo for her camera.

"Can you all go stand over there?" "Okay, I'm going to get you on my film camera," the Fever guard said.

Clark remarked with the reporters, "You guys always take photos of me, so go over there, act like you like each other, and you’re going to smile for me, okay?”

Caitlin Clark is also a passionate photographer. She was recently on camera duty as the Los Angeles Lakers traveled to face the Indiana Pacers in March.

In fact, during her injury-ridden period last season, the 24-year-old often carried a camera to capture team moments from the sidelines.
