Caitlin Clark Era Fuels Rapid Growth in Fever Franchise Value

As of now, it can be safely said that Caitlin Clark has changed the identity of the Indiana Fever franchise for good, both competitively and financially.

According to Sportico, the Fever franchise was valued at $90 million before drafting CC as the No.1 overall pick in 2024. Fast forward two years, and the latest report has valued them at a whopping $560 million.

"The Caitlin Clark" effect has now made the Fever franchise the third most valuable team in the WNBA, just behind the Golden State Valkyries ($850 million) and the New York Liberty ($600 million).

This is a 522% valuation jump of the Fever Franchise. CC was a household name even before entering the WNBA, with hype around her three-point shooting and eye-appealing playstyle during her college days in Iowa.

Granted, Caitlin Clark has increased her popularity tenfold since joining the W and has established herself as the face of the league.

CC waited no time to burst onto the scene, as she averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists (led the league), and 5.7 rebounds. She won the Rookie of the Year award and earned her first All-Star selection.

However, Clark's momentum was cut short in her sophomore year with the Fever, playing 13 games until she was sidelined due to recurring groin strains.

Now fully healthy, Clark has brought her rhythm back to a similar level as her rookie season as she enters her third season.

Furthermore, "The Caitlin Clark effect" has made the Fever the only team in the league to have all 44 games on national television. They will also play 39 of their 44 games in NBA-sized arenas.

In terms of revenue, the Fever came in second to the Valkyries for this year with $52.6 million.

While CC is Fever and the league's biggest drawing power, she hasn't forgotten about herself, ranking among the top-earning female athletes last year.

Caitlin Clark was Among the Highest-Paid Female Athletes of 2025

Thanks to the latest CBA, Clark's salary increased from a measly $78,066 to $528,846 this upcoming season. She is still not eligible for a seven-figure deal as the 24-year-old is still on her rookie-scale contract.

However, these numbers do not really matter when talking about Caitlin Clark, as she came 11th on Forbes' highest-paid female athletes list of 2025.

Clark reportedly earned $12.1 million last year, with the majority of it coming from her sponsorship deals.

But Sportico ranks Caitlin Clark sixth, estimating her earnings at around $16.1 million, just behind tennis stars Coco Gauff, Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Zheng Qinwen, and freestyle skier Eileen Gu.

Caitlin Clark has secured sponsorships from major brands such as Nike, Wilson Sporting Goods, Gatorade, State Farm, Panini America, Xfinity, Gainbridge, Hy-Vee, Bose, Goldman Sachs, and Buick.

While 2025 was a rather quiet year for the face of the league, she can finally show the world a new and mature version of herself in an important season for her and the Fever.

Caitlin Clark starts her campaign against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on May 9.
