While the UConn Huskies are only 7 wins away from their 13th title, Azzi Fudd’s recent feat made the fans fall in love with her game all over again.

This Sunday, the Huskies secured their 33rd victory by dishing out a staggering 100-51 defeat to the Creighton Bluejays. Fudd added 16 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds to the win, but her real feat wasn’t about the hoops she poured.

An X update from I Talk Hoops on March 9 disclosed Fudd's real achievement. Its caption read, “MILESTONE: UConn’s Azzi Fudd becomes just the fourth player in program history to make 100 three-pointers in a single season.”

Averaging 17.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assists, Fudd is shooting 48.3% from the field while adding 44.7% from the 3P range. But against Creighton, she shot 75% from the 3P, hitting the 100 3P benchmark.

While this feat lined her up with legends like Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (121 3P), Katie Lou Samuelson (119), and a few more, the massive fan-appreciation she received can be counted as her second achievement.

Fans Showered Azzi Fudd With Major Appreciation

The UConn Guard’s history with the Huskies has been injury-ridden. Multiple ACL, MCL, and knee injuries have forced Fudd out of action several times. But despite her earlier shooting struggle, fans found Fudd’s recent form and drive “the prettiest”.

“Azzi Fudd got one of the prettiest shooting forms in basketball history”, one user wrote. Highlighting Fudd’s 6-of-10 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the 3P range against Creighton. She even added a 1-of-1 free throw.

One fan wrote, “Does she need 21 more threes to break single-season record?”, hinting at Kaleena’s 121 three-pointers in the 2014–15 season, the highest single-season total listed.

Another fan took it to the next level, stating that Fudd will be the No. 1 draft pick. He stated, “Last year I said Chicago should take Fudd at 3, and everyone was hating. Now she's going #1 in the draft.”

Moving further, UConn will take the hardwood against the Villanova Wildcats on March 10.

But do you think Fudd will be able to top Kaleena’s 3P record before the end of the current season?
