Azzi Fudd took the UConn Huskies to the semifinals of the Big East tournament, but she was engrossed in a unique kind of feeling prior to the beginning of the event.

On March 6, the UConn guard talked to Storrs Central, where she reflected on how she had a "bittersweet" feeling about competing in the tournament. An X update from the media outlet also displayed Fudd highlighting the reason behind feeling the way she did.

She said, "I mean it's weird to think that's gonna be my last time going to Mohegan as, with UConn on my chest. It's like bittersweet knowing that, like, it's March, like I'm so excited with this team, but knowing that this is the last little bit."

Still, excitement is clearly the feeling that stands out the most for her. Fudd also stated, “But yeah, I think, I guess I'm gonna keep saying the word excited.”

But while Fudd is just four three-pointers away from becoming the fourth UConn player to make 100 threes in a single season, her excitement stems from just being able to take to the court.

"Excited for this weekend, excited to get back on the court.
It's been, what, like a week since we've played, and so a nice little break, but excited to be back on the court," she concluded.

But Fudd has more reasons to be excited than just the beginning of the Big East conference.

Azzi Fudd Joins the Jumpman Family

On March 6, NBA icon Michael Jordan's signature sporting collection, Jumpman, officially announced that Fudd had joined them as an ambassador.

An Instagram post from Jumpman's official account disclosed the news. The caption to it read, “Get buckets. Serve looks. Put the world on notice. Welcome to the fam, @azzi35.”

The announcement places Fudd among basketball royalty and shows that Jordan Brand continues to invest in the next generation of stars.

Her signing is especially meaningful because she now joins UConn legends Maya Moore and Napheesa Collier, along with her current teammate Sarah Strong. The move also adds her to Jordan’s NIL roster, which includes rising stars like Cameron Boozer, Cayden Boozer, Kiyan Anthony, and Mikaylah Williams.

The timing made the moment even more exciting. Just days after her partnership with GEICO placed billboards across Manhattan, Fudd is making the most of her final college season, seizing opportunities that could help define her legacy.

So, with the 2026 season of the Big East being her final one, do you think she will be able to win it for the UConn Huskies?
