Autumn Johnson Reveals Her Week 12 Starting Lineup

Analyst Autumn Johnson dropped her Starting Five for Week 12. Her list features a mix of clutch guards and a dominant center who are tearing up the court. Let's see which players made this week's cut.
Aaliyah Chavez
First on Johnson’s lineup is Aaliyah Chavez, the star guard from the Oklahoma Sooners. Chavez has been on a roll lately, averaging an impressive 18.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.
In Oklahoma’s win over No. 2 South Carolina on January 22, Chavez scored 26 points, including 5 three-pointers, to secure the 94-82 overtime victory. Johnson commended Chavez for her ability to deliver in clutch moments: "Chavez stepped into the moment and completely owned it", Johnson underlined. She showed her consistency with 18 points and 4 assists versus Auburn.
Zoe Brooks
Next, Johnson highlighted NC State’s Zoe Brooks. Averaging 15.8 points and 5.3 rebounds, Brooks has been pivotal in NC State’s 14-6 success. In a close 78-76 overtime victory against Virginia, Brooks notched 37 points, scoring 53.3% of his field goals.
"That's the dog-like mentality we know and love from Zoe," Johnson said while praising her defensive skills.
Jada Williams
“Iowa State’s Jada Williams is back in that boat”, Johnson started. Williams is averaging 13.9 points and 7.6 assists per game this season.
In Iowa State’s win against Cincinnati, Williams exploded with 44 points while dishing out 8 assists, helping her team to a dominant 93-68 victory. Johnson praised her versatility, saying that her performance was a great support to get the Cyclones back on track.
Riley Weiss
Riley Weiss from Columbia is another key selection. With her exceptional scoring ability and efficiency, Weiss has been the backbone of the Lions’. Averaging 18.6 points per game on 40.1% shooting in 18 games, recording full minutes for all but one game.
Weiss delivered a program record 40-point performance against Dartmouth, going 15-of-23 from the field. Johnson said, “Columbia’s Riley Weis, a certified bucket and a name you need to know.” She currently leads the Ivy conference in points per game.
Ava Heiden
“Iowa’s Ava Heiden is having a breakout season in her sophomore year”, Johnson informed. At 6'4", Heiden is a force in the paint. Averaging 16.4 points and 7.7 rebounds, shooting 63.5% from the field thus season.
In her last 5 games, Heiden has scored in double digits, including 2 20-point games against Maryland and Michigan State.
