While Team USA is warming up for the FIBA 2026 qualifying tournament, Paige Bueckers and Angel Reese are making the best out of their off-court time.

Both Reese and Bueckers are in the USA's star-studded World Cup qualifiers roster. Despite playing for two different WNBA teams, the Dallas Wings and the Chicago Sky stars are getting along pretty well, and one of Reese’s Instagram stories on March 9 confirmed that.

The Sky Forward posted a photo of Bueckers, who was leaning against the wall, striking a chill pose. Reese’s caption read, “YNP @paigebueckers”, with a hilarious song choice: Shy Glizzy’s White Girl, which goes like, “you know I’m a dope boy…”

Well, this is actually quite startling, considering that these two just had a neck-to-neck at Unrivaled a few days ago.

Although neither of Reese or Bueckers’ teams reached the finals, the competition was high. But now that they’ve paired up for Team USA, their old bond is sparkling again.

Paige Bueckers and Angel Reese Always Had a Hilarious Friendship

Lots of fans got to know about Bueckers and Reese's happy-go-lucky friendship in December 2025, when Reese’s TikTok recap from the NY Knicks vs. Orlando Magic game went viral.

Both the WNBA stars were present on the courtside, and Bueckers was hyping up Reese’s boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr.’s game. Well, Reese’s remark to that was hysterical.

“Here’s Paige cheering louder for my man than me at a Knicks game”, Reese said in the camera. Immediately adding a “Girl, we gonna get kicked out” for Paige.

Moreover, Paige and Angel partnered for Reese’s Oreo Cup, which was a joint product launched by Hershey’s in December 2025. 

Well, Reese's Instagram story displays that the playful banter, teasing, and competitive friendship still exist between them even in March 2026.
