Dec 16, 2025, 11:00 AM CUT

As Angel Reese and the rest of Team USA wind down from the training camp, the Bayou Barbie spoke about playing with rivals.

Apart from Reese, stars like Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark joined Team USA at the camp. And Reese is taking in all the positives.

While speaking to USA Basketball, she said, “You want to be surrounded [by] and play with the best, to be the best, you got to play with the best, and you've got to beat the best... I’m not going to take this moment for granted. I’m so thankful because a lot of people don’t have this moment.”

"Being around players like Chelsea, where she does the behind-the-backs, and you have to be ready for it. Just being able to feel Kah's energy, to see Aliyah post up and post deep... It just goes to show the growth of the game and how we can just compete in the W [WNBA] but then come back here and just be together."

In her first visit to the training camp, Reese played with players with a lot of experience. For instance, Chelsea Gray is a two-time Olympic Gold winner and one-time World Cup Golf winner. And Aliyah Boston has international experience with multiple golds at junior events.

And fans can already see Angel Reese working well with the team

Now, while Angel Reese's WNBA rivalry with Caitlin Clark made headlines, the training camp saw them work closely with each other.

As clips kept making rounds on social media, one had Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark making one-two passes in the build-up to a shot. It was impressive to see them work together.

However, there's no guarantee they'll be playing together. Making it to the training camp doesn't guarantee you a spot on the team. Big names like A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and Napheesa Collier weren't in attendance. Neither were Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong.
