Angel Reese Draws Attention Courtside for Brother JuJu Reese’s NBA Moment

Angel Reese has had a busy offseason, taking part in Unrivaled, practicing with Team USA, and reaching new heights with her podcast. But if we ask her, nothing was more important than showing up to her younger brother Julian Reese's first NBA games.
Angel Reese was spotted courtside, watching Julian play in what was only his second NBA game, against the Orlando Magic. Reese revealed during her on-court interview that her appearance became necessary when she found out that her brother would be included on the team.
Julian Reese was unable to get drafted last season, coming out of the University of Maryland. But the 22-year-old pushed through the ranks in the G-League with the Toronto Raptors' affiliate Raptors 905.
Now, he has officially signed a two-way contract with the Washington Wizards, last Saturday, meaning he can now feature in both the NBA and the G-League.
"As soon as I heard he was going to be on the team, I was like… I need a jersey." The Chicago Sky forward said.
The 23-year-old was quick to showcase her love for her younger brother after the Wizards' announcement on X, as she quoted her shout-out to him, admiring the efforts he has put in over the past year for his career.
“My baby brother, ugh I’m so proud of you! Your journey has never been easy & you’ve always stayed the course! Let’s go Juju!” Reese wrote.
And Julian Reese Put That to Good Use
The Raptors 905 has been a major turning point for Julian as he upskilled himself over the 39 games he played throughout the season. The 22-year-old averaged a healthy 7.8 points and 7 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game.
With the Wizards nowhere near the playoff race at 16-42 and dealing with multiple injuries to key players, it could very well signal increased involvement of Julian Reese in the upcoming games.
His debut became even more special considering the siblings are both Baltimore natives. After his struggle in finding a spot for himself in the NBA, things have come full circle, as the brother-sister duo take over their respective leagues.
