Mar 19, 2026, 10:37 AM CUT

Alysa Liu has a one-word answer for anyone wondering if she'll join 'Dancing with the Stars.' Her blunt response shuts down a path many Olympians take, at least for now.

After helping Team USA win 2 gold medals at the Winter Games, a new buzz began to surround the 20-year-old Oakland native and her participation in Dancing with the Stars.

Alysa Liu attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on March 15, where Entertainment Tonight caught up with her and asked if she has "her sights on the ‘DWTS’ Mirrorball."

"I don't know if I would do Dancing with the Stars... I love dancing, and I think I'm good at dancing, but I don't know if I would do it. At least for now," she told ET.

Alysa Liu's response many compell you to ask why the Olympian is even facing this question? That's because over 23 Olympians have in the past.

While she has been clear about participating in DWTS, the 20-year-old is open to exploring other avenues.

Alysa Liu Is Expanding Her Fashion Portfolio

Till the Winter Games, Liu’s fashion statements have been limited to the ice rink. But post-Olympic, she arrived in Paris for Fashion Week on March 10, 2026, and attended the Louis Vuitton Fall 2026 show at the Louvre.

The halo-haired artist showed up in a denim jacket and matching jeans. She layered it over a white T-shirt and completed the look with a monogram Louis Vuitton shoulder bag. While that grabbed massive attention, Liu had something up her sleeve again.

She switched up her usual cool and relaxed look during her March 15 appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party. The charcoal-colored Louis Vuitton minidress turned heads, which she paired with black tights, black heels, smoky eye makeup, and her signature smiley piercing.

As for competing, Liu has withdrawn from the 2026 World Figure Skating Championships in Prague. But there are always the next season and other spectres she can always jump into. What’s your take on it? Comment it down.
