Aliyah Boston’s first experience with Vinyl BC did not quite represent the "double-double machine" moniker.

Limited to just under 10 minutes of play per game, she averaged 5.9 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds per game. These numbers landed her at the bottom of the league standings. Yet, with the start of the second year of the league on the horizon, Aliyah Boston is ready to bounce back to glory.

That’s because AB will be playing for Phantom BC this time. So to commemorate her new beginning, the Indiana Fever superstar posted several photos from her media day with the caption, “Ghost gangggg 💚.”

Well, that attitude was enough to scare opponents before the season. But to make it even more alarming, Caitlin Clark added a nod as she commented, “Yassss.” This isn’t the first time CC has supported her teammate.

She often hypes her teammates up when needed. So it won’t be a surprise if we get to see Clark on the sidelines supporting her Indiana Fever teammates. But no doubt, Boston would give her every reason to stick around!

How will the 2026 season be different for Aliyah Boston?

Last year, Phantom BC didn’t make it to the playoffs. So they got to protect just one player, and the HC Roneeka Hodges kept Satou Sabally. But she’s injured and will be missing the season due to a concussion.

That leaves Phantom with a revamped roster. The "Ghost Gang" roster includes the likes of Kelsey Plum, Natasha Cloud, Kiki Iriafen, Dana Evans, and Tiffany Hayes. So AB’s got every reason to shine.

“Aliyah Boston looks great right now,” Sue Bird said about Boston on Bird’s View podcast on January 2. “She looked great in USA camp. She’s now really found her game and just has a confidence about ‘this is what I do, and I’m going to be great at these things.’ And one of those things is playmaking.”

Also, Boston is coming off a career season. She not only drove an injury-riddled Indiana Fever but also posted career highs of 15 points and 3.7 assists in 2025. So a new, dominant Boston is on the way!
