Aliyah Boston Reveals What Made 2025 Season Her Favorite Despite Fever's Injury-Plagued Run

While Indiana made it to the WNBA Playoffs in 2025, injuries plagued their season. Caitlin Clark, Ari McDonald, and Sydney Colson sustained season-ending injuries. Yet, Aliyah Boston felt that the season was truly special.
“I know when you look at it from a whole, it’s like, how could this have been so special, especially with all the injuries that we have?” Boston told Sports Illustrated on behalf of The Court Is Hers.
Afterall, those three weren't the only ones injured. Cunningham, Sydney Colson, and Chloe Bibby were among the key players who faced injury this season as well.
“But I think [it was] just the people that we had in the locker room. They made it so exciting to come in and work, even when we came off losses,” Aliyah Boston added, speaking about her team's determination to push through the challenges.

The Indiana Fever carried the mindset into the postseason with Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell guiding the team. “Making it to Game 5 of the semis obviously didn’t end the way we wanted to, but I think it showed us as individuals…" said the Indian forward.
While the WNBA star didn't win the title, she discovered just how deep the team's bonds run.
For Aliyah Boston, It Was About the Chemistry
"It’s the way that we're able to communicate [and] the friendships and the relationships that we have with each other," she said during the interview. That off-court bond translated directly into on-court belief.
She had made it clear that Kelsey Mitchell and Caitlin Clark are her favorite people to play basketball with. “Caitlin [Clark] and Kelsey [Mitchell]. I love those girls right there!” she said on January 14th's episode of the Post Moves With Candace Parker & Aliyah Boston podcast.
Furthermore, Boston also mentioned the Fever’s Commissioner’s Cup win as a favorite memory. As the 2026 season is set to shape up, Boston will surely play alongside Caitlin Clark in the Fever jersey. But with the CBA negotiations and free agency, which other Fever teammates will return for another memorable season?
