Aliyah Boston Names Fever Teammate She Trusts With a Special Responsibility

Aliyah Boston often talks about her Fever teammates like Caitlin Cark or Kelsey Mitchell on the Post Moves podcast, but this time she named a different Fever player as her pick to fulfill a unique responsibility.
Boston's revelation came in the form of an answer to the Just Women's Question of the week, which was posted by none other than her teammate, Lexi Hull.
AB's co-host, Candace Parker, read out Hull's question, "Who on the team would you let watch Ozzie?" Well, just to clarify, Ozzy (Hull spelled it wrong) is Boston’s pet, a Daschaund whom she addresses as her "son."
Despite mentioning Ozzy's "crazy" nature and saying Hull "doesn’t know what it is like to have a dachshund," Boston still chose the Fever No. 10 to watch Ozzy in case of her absence.
Boston elected Hull, saying, "I guess, I’ll volunteer Lexie. Just know Lex, when I call you, you better be available." Ozzy also gave viewers a glimpse of his craziness by entering Boston's setup room, only to be driven away.
Boston adopted Ozzy back in 2023, in her rookie season. The Fever had a media night where they introduced therapy dogs. And ever since, Ozzy has been a significant part of Boston’s life. He has appeared in many of her social media posts.
Boston's trust in Hull with someone she calls her "son" shows the amicable relationship between the two Fever players. However, things don't always stay the same when they are on the court.
Aliyah Boston and Lexi Hull also work against each other
Both Boston and Hull have earned several victories for the Fever with outstanding performances. But their relationship changes from pals to opponents when they take to the Unrivaled court.
Boston and Hull play on different teams in the Unrivaled. And despite being teammates at the WNBA, they don’t shy away from getting physical at the 3v3 league.
Boston’s Phantom and Hull’s Rose had a preseason match-up in early January where Boston ran over Hull.
The Fever No. 7 described the incident saying, "It was actually kind of funny, there was one possession where she set a screen on me, and I was like fighting to get over the top, and I did like run through her,” Boston said. And Hull wasn’t so happy about it either.
"The next day, she was like, 'Are you kidding me? Why did you run me over?' I was like, 'I had to get over.' She was like, 'Aliyah, but you weren’t getting over, you just decided you were going to run through,'" the Phantom no. 7 described.
Last season, both Boston and Hull were key players for Fever due to team injuries. Boston managed 15.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. And Hull averaged 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds.
So, with Boston morally winning against Hull in the Unrivaled's pre-season match, do you think the Fever no. 10 will be able to avenge her defeat on the Unrivaled court this season?
