With rumors of A'ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo's engagement floating around, an NBA veteran didn't miss the opportunity to make a playful prediction for Wilson's future family.
The 2025 WNBA MVP graced the United Center on January 8 to support her Miami Heat center boyfriend, Bam Adebayo, for their match against the Bulls. While the game had to be abandoned due to moisture on the court, the cameras focused on Wilson.
After witnessing a few of the couple's incredible stats side by side during the show, Thompson came up with a startling suggestion for A'ja Wilson and Adebayo's future "kid."
Tristan said, "That [Wilson and Adebayo's] kid better be an NBA player. He better not be putting boxes up in FedEx. If he gets his Mama's talent and his Dad's toughness, it'll be one of the greatest of all time."
Currently, nothing can be said about whether A'ja Wilson and Adebayo will actually plan to have a "kid" later. However, the four-time WNBA MVP's comments about her Heat center boyfriend showcase that she is in a happy relationship.
Bam Adebayo is the "perfect" man for A'ja Wilson
Wilson and Adebayo have been spotted together at multiple public events. The couple has maintained a cheerful demeanor for most of them, implying that they share a strong bond.
While A'ja Wilson has supported Adebayo from the audience multiple times, the Heat center also reciprocated the support in several ways. In February 2025, he paid homage to Wilson by wearing her signature sneakers, the Nike A'One, during a match against the Brooklyn Nets.
However, nothing describes the state of their relationship better than Wilson's comments about Adebayo during her November 2025 appearance on Good Morning America.
Besides revealing how they support each other, the Las Vegas Aces star said, "In my eyes, he's perfect. He could do no wrong."
